This is a short-term voltage converter for use with appliances rated from 51 to 2000 watts. As a general rule any appliance that produces heat falls into this category. Curling irons, however, are an exception to that rule. That said this 2000 watt converter would be the right choice for hair dryers, travel irons, clothes steamers, bottle warmers and heating pads among others. Simply consult your appliance and find out its wattage. If it rates anywhere between 50 and 2000 watts this is the converter for you.
P.S. The short-term designation means that this appliance is designed to run for not more than 30-45 minutes at a time. If run any longer it will shut itself off as protection against overload. When this happens, simply unplug the unit and allow it to cool down and reset itself for future use.
